A region of high quality wine's production.
The
IPR zone of Portalegre produces very good wines, being the
reds of a better quality.
Thick and alcoholic, these are wines to drink with some caution.
They
get a velvety and a bouquet, after aging, that makes them
unconfoudable.
From

point out the red wine Portalegre VQPRD, the Tapada do Chaves

The
IPR zone of Borba produces good red and white wines. The Adega

great prestige to this region with the Borba and Convento
da Vila, the Sovibor with the

out the reserve Horta do
Rocio and the Garrafeira da Quinta do Carmo which show the

de Redondo VQPRD. To point out the wines obtained at the wine-cellar
of Cartuxa; the white Cartuxa, the white Cartuxa developed
in wooden casks and the red Cartuxa.
